Nuttin' But A Word San Antonio Theatre reviews
You my boy John-John!
I've always been a huge fan of Nuttin' But A Word. Surprisingly for its age, Lakewood Amphitheatre was a great venue. The audio was also amazingly on point. The summer show was cast on a nice warm Atlanta night and provided a nostalgia ridden ride through all four of his studio albums and a few surprise covers. My sister actually bought me tickets for his winter tour back in March at Phillips Arena which was a great experience. Nuttin' But A Word didn't disappoint. I returned the favor by getting the tickets this time and inviting her along. I doubt that the entire crowd realized he threw in a Sting cover ("Englishman in New York") at the end of one of his songs. It was amazing. As always the show ended with the requisite official state song "Why Georgia" and an encore performance"Edge of Desire". All in all, I'll call it what it is, a Nuttin' But A Word show.
